United States

Attacks on 9/11/01

-- Retaliation initiated October 7, 2001.
-- Recovery well along. Rebuilding of Pentagon completed.
-- WTC demolition & clearing completed July, 2002. New structures in design development stages.
-- US is retaliating, striving to prevent future attacks. Plans in place to minimize damage if attacked on its homeland or overseas assets.

Afghanistan

Retaliation initiated on 10/7/01 against the Taliban that appropriated Afghanistan, a warlord conglomeration accepted by the world and given nation status.

-- Taliban & al Qaeda are captured & dead; remianing are banished from cities & roaming. They exist in caves & mountains while attempting to plot more death & destruction. Ongoing elimination of fanatics continues.
-- Afghani democratic government now technically in place & attempting to gain control over all warlord territories to allow Afghanistan to operate as a nation.
-- The poppy economy remains a problem, both economic and cultural.
-- Training & planning becoming increasingly more difficult for terrorists.
-- 8,000 US-led coalition forces remain.
-- Women of all ages are returning to school after 5 years of lock out. Schools are opening for boys & young men.
-- First post-anarchy, democratic election is scheduled for June, 2004.

Iraq

End of the despotic dictatorship was initiated on March 17, 2003

Hussein was captured 12/13/2003.

-- Liberation of 24 million Iraqis accomplished on 4/9/03.
-- Mass killings & tortures are ended; many top thugs dead or captured.
-- Stabilization initiated on 4/10/03.
-- Building an Iraq that had been neglected for decades under the 34 year-long regime of Hussein. Building of Iraq initiated 5/03 by US.
-- Iraqi people, after 34 years of Hussein, need education & to develop the ability to cooperate with each other in development of their oil resource for global sale.
-- Electric service is restored & operating at a higher level than before the war.
-- Schools are reopen & educating without bias and Hussein's doctrines.
-- Hussein is in custody & will defend his actions at trial. Captured 12/13/03.
-- March 8, 2003, interim constitution was signed by the governing council.

Iran

Simmering militancy continues to develop. Iranian leadership continues to provide training, financing and coordination for known terrorist groups.

-- Quasi-leaderless with growing militancy promises to erupt someday.
-- The nuclear threat is the militant's tool to keep itself in the terrorism spotlight.
-- Policy vacillation & announcements indicate Iran's nuclear program is a subject of serious internal political debate.
-- Signs indicate some potential leadership that understands the power of positive productivity and cooperation may emerge. It could sell oil, collect money, & develop the nation.

Middle East

Ongoing mutual destruction since Babylon

-- The so-called 'Road Map to Peace' is ripped frequently by ongoing thuggery, murders of civilians & leaders, followed by retaliations.
-- Saudi Arabia is experiencing al-Qaeda-style suicide bombings in Riyadh. The terrorist group appears willing to shed Muslim blood to bring down the Saudi monarchy.
-- Turkey is experiencing al Qaeda-style suicide bombings. This tactic is being used to terrorize religious groups and multi-national business operations.

Southeast Asia

Terrorist attacks on civilians & government buildings

-- Terrorist bombers strike Bali, Indonesia & kidnap in Philippines.
-- Terrorist bombers & leaders have been captured, put on trial & punished.
-- The Phillipines are experiencing al-Qaeda-style suicide bombings.

North Korea

Threats & bullying abuse continue to be the hallmark of the boy dictator who can only follow in his daddy's role

-- Nuclear threats & blackmail are tossed out sporadically in an attempt to gain food & technology from the US in return for a few months of apparent peace. It worked with Clinton in 1994.
