Americans are generous with
charities and international relief and aid. Their government gives
hundreds of billions of dollars away each year to nations less well
off on six continents. America sends help immediately
when there is a natural disaster anywhere in the world. America pays
approximately half of all expenses
to operate the UN and donated the land and building at its founding.
America has liberated hundreds of millions of people in Europe, Asia, and has made
often honest,
well-intentioned interventions and meddled in Central and South
America. No one is perfect, not even the US of A. |
|
Americans
today are so self-assured, have inherited so much freedom and
security, are so complacently comfortable that some are willing to
provide full US Constitutional protection to terrorists who are our
sworn enemies. |
|
Some Americans
appear willing to invite al Qaeda members into their homes, feed and
clothe them, and protect them from the US government. Some want to
deter the US government in its work to protect all Americans. This
outcry from some Americans is actually their reverberating
sore-loser reaction to the election of 2000. They cannot get over
the fact that their candidate, Al Gore, lost the election. |
|
And then, to
make matters more painful for these sore losers, their candidate
John Kerry lost. In desperation, sore-loser Americans are flailing
all over everything and willing to inflict permanent damage upon
America. |
|
Terrorists
operate with no rules and no boundaries. They do not need to
disguise themselves. They overtly claim on the Internet, al Jazeera
and CNN that their primary objective is to destroy the American way
of life and kill Americans. Do these people deserve the full
protection and all rights guaranteed by the US Constitution? |
|
It is irrational to imagine a
president of the United States who would not use electronic
surveillance technologies and all other methods to identify and
confirm who our enemies are and what they are planning. |
|
It is irrational to imagine a
reasonable American who could hate President Bush so much as to
attempt to stop his efforts to protect the USA. |
|
The anti-Bush Americans likely do
not understand that the
listening program dealt strictly with international
communications. It has not included
communications between people inside the
United States and was directed at people associated with al Qaeda.
Air Force General Michael Hayden,
who was NSA director during the program, said, "This
isn't a drift-net out there where we're soaking up everyone's
communications... This is hot pursuit of
communications entering or leaving America involving someone we
believe is associated with al Qaeda." |
|
The 2000 election's media-inflamed
extension joins today with the fear of terrorism, the under-educated
nature of some Americans, and the violently contentious nature of
today's entertainment and news presentations. Is it any wonder that
some Americans are willing to hurt President Bush. These
America-haters fail to understand that they are damaging the office
of the president, invoking reckless behavior, and undermining the
united nature of our nation. |
|
American America-haters are al
Qaeda's best allies. Where will the American America-haters go to
live when America is damaged beyond repair? |
